Dubronik / Old Town
Dubronik / Old Town (Brsalje 5, 20000 Dubrovnik) – this town, known as “the Pearl of the Adriatic”, was a major Mediterranean power after the 13th century. This late-medieval planned city in the southern part of Croatia’s Adriatic coast, with its historical center located at the foot of Mount Srđ, has preserved its character throughout the centuries, defined by that city’s walls. Although the 1667 earthquake had damaged much of that city, Dubrovnik has managed to preserve its gothic, renaissance and baroque churches, monasteries and fountains.
