Jabuka

Jabuka (Jabukovac 28, Zagreb) – for those in the mood for 80s music (New Wave and pop), this club (located in a hilly suburban neighborhood) is the place to be.  As a result, both this club’s interior and its back courtyard fill up with a mixed age crowd.  In addition to such music, live bands are occasionally booked here, too.  It’s amazing to hear that this club has existed since 1968 (during the height of the country’s Communist era as part of Yugoslavia).  Even the Archaeological Museum conducted an exhibit, dedicated to this club, detailing the cultural influence it had in Zagreb over the decades.
